Light dawned and Hank blinked a few times as comprehension washed over his features. He turned again slowly, his eyes taking in the open spaces in a new light. “You’re…giving me all this?”

“And a house too. Starting tomorrow morning, you and me are going to start building. There’s plenty of trees down yonder, straight and tall for your walls. We should be able to get the place framed out pretty fast. Windows and the like, well, we’ll get panes of glass and whatever else as needs be as we go. You did a fine job on my house, we’ll just do it again. Of course,” Cliff tipped his hat back a bit and grinned at his old friend, “it might take a bit longer this time because I’ll be helping. But I’m sure you can work around that.”
